The FCC yesterday extended several deadlines as a result of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.

The start date for Auction 105 (CBRS Priority Access Licenses for the 3.5 GHz band) is pushed back from June 25 to July 23, 2020, and deadlines for filing a Form 175 application and submitting an upfront payment have been extended to May 7, 2020 and June 19, 2020, respectively.  The filing window for Form 175 applications will now open April 23, 2020.

Auction 106 (FM broadcast construction permits) has been postponed indefinitely, and the FCC announced procedures for parties seeking refunds of upfront payments.

In the Restoring Internet Freedom and Lifeline proceeding on remand from the U.S. Court of Appeals (Mozilla Corp. v FCC), the FCC extended the dates for comments and reply comments to April 20, 2020 and May 20, 2020, respectively.

Finally, the deadline for reply comments on the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking regarding use of the 5.850-5.925 GHz Band is extended to April 27, 2020.

The FCC made these changes to protect the health and safety of Commission staff and to allow parties additional time.
